The 11th season of The Bachelor gets kicked off tonight on ABC following the Dancing With The Stars Season Premiere. This season’s bachelor is supposed to the the sexiest bachelor yet, although I certainly don’t feel qualified to comment on this (Oh the things I do for our readers). Brad is a self made man from Texas, who made his way working in the oil fields before opening a chain of bars with his two brothers. Check out the link to one of the bars, Chuggin Monkey website. I said it in our Season preview article but, I’ll repeat it here. If I were a woman (and granted, I’m not), I’m not sure this is the sort of place I’d want my prospective husband hangin’ around every night. Once again though, being male, I could be totally off base. I’ll be interested to see the comments from our female readers on how sexy they think Brad is and what they think of his profession. I also wonder if any of the bachelorettes will have the nerve to call him on this as the season progresses and the relationships get more serious.

I always like the first thinning of the herd when the bachelor sends half of the girls home the first night. This is usually where we get the first look at the kind of girls he likes. We really don’t know much about the bachelorettes yet. From what little there is on the Bachelor website I can tell that there are about half blonds and half brunettes, yeh, big deal. I also checked out the preview videos. DeAnna practically drools all over Brad the very first night. If you watch these though, be careful of spoilers. One of them shows one of the bachelorettes crying in the limo after not getting a rose which was a little disappointing because now I already know she doesn’t make it to the end. I’m still looking forward to the season though. Be sure to check back later tonight after the premiere where we will recap and review tonight’s show.
