After the last two nights of competition, here is how our couples stand to start off this evening:
Judges Leader Board
Sabrina & Mark: 26
Helio & Julianne: 25
Jane & Tony: 24
Mel & Maksim: 24
Jennie & Derek: 21
Marie & Jonathon: 21
Cameron & Edyta: 21
Albert & Anna: 21
Mark & Kym: 21
Wayne & Cheryl: 19
Floyd & Karina: 18
Josie & Alec:16
I think it is a pretty good bet that it will be one of the bottom three couples who gets sent home tonight.
Judge’s Encore
This weeks Judge’s Encore was awarded to Sabrina Bryan & Mark Ballas. No surprise there they scored a 26 their first time out which is pretty good. Sabrina and Mark’s Cha Cha Cha was amazing and super hot. It looked like a performance from week 6 instead of week 1. Len actually said it may have been the best Cha Cha Cha they had ever seen. They are going to be a tough couple to beat. Being part of a dancing girl-band Sabrina has the same advantage Joey Fatone had last season.
Safe this week:
Sabrina & Mark
Jennie & Derek
Helio & Julianne
Albert & Anna
Mel & Maksim
Cameron & Edyta
Jane & Tony
Wayne & Cheryl
Marie & Jonathon
Floyd & Karina
Guest Performers
Dolly Parton was this weeks big name performer. She started off with one of her best known songs, 9-to-5. Which four of this season’s pros danced to while she performed. Dolly then cam back later and sang her new single, Better Get To Livin’. Sabian Glover (?), who was introduced as the greatest tap dancer ever, performed end with his troupe. I may be wrong, and I’m sure someone will let me know if I am, I think he also performed on So You Think You Can Dance over the summer.
Bottom Two
Josie & Alec
Mark & Kym
I wasn’t surprised about Josie and Alec but, I kinda thought Mark and Kym would do better. I guess because Mark’s only claim to fame is being a billionaire and owning the Dallas Mavericks he really doesn’t have a fan base to support him. Mark may be going home pretty early this year.
This Season’s DWTS Biggest Loser is ….
This is like last season all over again. Alec Mazo is paired with the super model and gets sent home week 1, again! They had the lowest judges score and unlike some of the other stars, I’m pretty sure most of Josie Maran’s fans don’t watch Dancing With The Stars. Goodbye Josie.

Dancing With The Stars 5 Week 2 Performance Preview | Wild Bluff Media : Entertainment Examined
October 1st, 2007 at 11:00 am[...] Last week we lost the first of our Twelve Stars. Josie Maran and her partner Alec Mazo had the lowest combined score. I wasn’t convinced that Josie actually did that much worse than some of the other stars but since the fans didn’t step up to save her either, she probably should be going home. [...]

Hey! That was actually Jason Samuels-Smith who performed on “So You Think You Can Dance” this summer, not Savion. He was a student of Savion Glover’s for a while but now has gone on to do some impressive work of his own. My blog is all about tap so if you ever have any questions or want some info, please check it out! It’s at http://www.TapDanceBlog.com.
