The Game Plan

Wow, now this one surprised me a lot. The Game Plan, starring The Rock and his on-screen bastard child, stole the spotlight from The Kingdom. While they both earned okay amounts I think this will no doubt come as a disappoint to Kingdom’s studio which put a lot of money into marketing. I just got back from watching The Kingdom and I don’t think word of mouth is going to pick it up a lot of business on its second week around. My review will be up later, but I’ll tell you now that while it did have an exciting fourth quarter the rest came up rather lackluster for me. The other new release, Feast of Love, came in at 11th place and that’s not surprising considering I never heard of it before Friday. Everyone weekend I say I hope next weekend’s movies will be better, and yeah, I’m thinking it again this time.
