While I’m not surprised that “Why Did I Get Married” did well this week I’m certainly surprised that it beat out George Clooney’s “Michael Clayton” and Wahlberg and Phoenix’s “We Own the Night”. Perry’s romantic dramedy took the top spot with $21.5 million, doubling what Clayton and Night each pulled in, $11.01M & $11.0M respectively. The other new film, “Elizabeth: The Golden Age”, came in at #6 with just $6.1M which is likely disappointing to the studio that put out this sequel to the highly acclaimed prequel. Tell us what you thought of the movie offerings this week in the Comments below.
