Tonight there was two one on one dates and a group date. Brad did not have any roses to give out on the dates tonight. At the end of tonight’s show two of the bachelorettes went home. The four remaining will have the opportunity to take Brad home to meet their families next week so this week is a really important one for Brad.

One on One Date 1: A Romantic Evening on the Water Bettina
Brad was looking to see if Bettina could relax around him and open up. The two of them went on a romantic boat ride. Bettina admitted that were she comes from a girl is supposed to play hard to get but she was going to try not to do that with Brad on this date.On the date Brad discussed Bettina’s divorce with her. This was definitely the right move rather than just disregarding her because of this. Before this date I really wasn’t sure how much Brad liked Bettina. But all he did during the date was gush over her. He actually called her drop dead gorgeous. He felt like she was trying to open up to him.

The other girls think Bettina is just playing games and trying to win as opposed to being in this for Brad and a long term relationship. Some of them including DeAnna thought Bettina might be their biggest competition.

Group Date: Pool Party Jenni, DeAnna, Hillary, & Kristy
The girls were drooling over the idea of Brad with his shirt off. Kristy is a party pooper. The other girls were doing flips into the pool and doing the slip n’ slide in their bikinis. Kristy just sat there. I can’t believe he hasn’t sent her home. He is a laid back fun loving kind of guy and she… well lets just say she isn’t. She needs to go home. Hillary laid it on the line and asked Brad how he felt about her. Brad admitted that he has more fun with her than any other girl he has met in ages. Away from the girls though, he said he didn’t think there was a romantic connection between them. Hillary was convinced that their was definitely chemistry between them. In Hillary’s interview about the date, she gave a XXX description of what she would like to do with Brad. Basically it was one long beep out. Very classy Hillary. DeAnna wanted to kiss Brad but she knew he wouldn’t because their one on one time was right in front of the other girls. Brad and Jenni went on their one on one time. They went out of sight of the other girls. The other girls were totally jealous because they knew Brad and Jenni would be making out.

One on One Date 2: Many Treasures Await You Sheena
Brad wanted to spend some one on one time with Sheena because apparently Brad’s brother loved her. Brad took Sheena to the mansion and showed her six dresses. Sheena got to pick and change into the gown of her choice. Sheena chose the red gown. Brad was waiting at the bottom of the stairs when Sheena made her appearance stunning him with her beauty. As Sheena was coming down the stairs during this fairy tale moment she wiped out. At a romantic dinner amid piles of white balloons Brad gave her a set of diamond earrings. They talked about their feelings for each other. Brad thought she was solid, she was beautiful, fun to be with, and caring. At the end of the evening, the two of them danced by the pool as an orchestra played in the background. Then they shared a kiss. Sheena thinks she is the luckiest girl ever and this is the best date she has ever been on. I’ll tell you what I think. I think these two make a great couple. They are both absurdly good looking and neither one is the brightest bulb in the string. The other girls were super jealous when they heard about the date. Even bettina said it sounded much more exciting than her date with Brad.

Pre-Ceremony Cocktail Party
Sheena wrote Brad a poem. It was cute although the line about the moles on his arm was a little… um, odd. Brad was very touched by this. Brad asked to keep the poem and for a quick dance (and kiss) with Sheena. Bettina was jealous and hurt because Brad never tried to kiss her. DeAnna admitted to Brad how nervous she always is around him. DeAnna finally got the kiss she wanted during their group date.

Jenni called out Bettina on being unhappy with her date with Brad after Sheena described her date. Bettina claimed to just be joking. Jenni thinks that Bettina puts on a big act for Brad. That could just be the ugly face of jealousy talking though. When Bettina got her time alone with Brad she told him she wanted him to kiss her and have his hands on her. She also told him that she has never had feelings this deep for someone before.

Brad wanted to talk with Hillary. She asked him point blank how he felt at the pool party. Brad wanted to shoot straight with her. He felt he had to make sure she understood that he thought of her just as a friend because he couldn’t get her to listen to a thing he had to say.

This wasn’t a big surprise. Kristy was no fun at the Comedy Factory last week and at the pool party this week. I don’t even think she had any one on one time with Brad on the group date. They have been advertising Hillary’s breakdown all week. During the post ceremony interview Hillary totally lost it. Brad went out to see her. For the first time Hillary got the message that he only thought of her as a friend. Hillary was especially upset at being just a friend and that he wasn’t going to meet her family. In the end her break down didn’t quite live up to the hype ABC tried to create about it.

Next Week:
Brad goes to visit the home towns of the four remaining girls. Jenni shows Brad her dance moves and he meets her grandma who warns him not to hurt her. In California, Sheena’s Mom is a trip. Brad goes to a Greek family reunion with DeAnna. The visit to Bettina’s family looks to be the best though. They don’t like Brad. Brad and Bettina get into it over her family’s feelings for him. This could end Bettina’s chances with Brad.
