The new season of the Amazing Race kicks off this Sunday night on CBS at 8PM. This is the 12th season and CBS is hyping this season as, “Bigger than ever”. This year the Race spans the globe from Ireland to Croatia and sets new Race Teams on an adventure of a lifetime. Traveling more than 50,000 miles and crossing multiple continents in 28 days, the Teams are in a fierce race to the finish first for a shot at the million dollar prize.

This season the amazing race cast includes your typical teams of best friends, ‘dating’, and relatives including a grandfather and his grandson. However, I think that season 12 may have the weirdest team of all time. Kynt & Vyxsin are racing this season and representing the Louisville, KY Goth community. Who knew Louisville even had a Goth community? They are quite the couple and have been dating on and off for 3 years. As usual season 12 boasts the traditional openly gay couple. This has become a staple of Amazing Race teams. This time it is a pair of married lesbian ministers. Bet you never thought you’d see that on prime time network TV. As always it should be an exciting season.
