Well whoever is in charge of random Hollywood hookups has really screwed up this time. For some reason Lance Armstrong is out partying with Ashley Olsen (she’s the creepy thin one, wait, nevermind) which begs the question: what the hell? Lance Armstrong won the Tour De France seven straight times and who does he hook up with? Sheryl Crow and Ashley Olson. Tony Romo botches the Cowboy’s chances at the big game with a crappy kick hold (LACES OUT!) and gets Carrie Underwood and even more recently Britney Spears (now that may be more of the punishment he deserves instead). It hurts my little brain to even think about that.

Lance Armstrong and Ashley Olsen appear to be getting friendly: The unlikely twosome have met up at least twice this week while the former Tour de France champ is in town for the New York Marathon, sources tell PEOPLE.

The pair first shared a special moment on Monday night, getting close at the Rose Bar inside the Gramercy Park Hotel. (The rendezvous was well-documented in New York’s newspapers on Wednesday.)

An observer tells PEOPLE: “Lance was hanging with her, definitely. [Olsen] was very flirtatious, and was sitting on his lap.”

Of course she’s sitting on his lap. That’s what little children do. Come on Lance!
