To some extent I feel like I’m still recovering from last week’s shocking DWTS results. I still cannot believe that Sabrina & Mark went home. I think everyone, myself included, fully expected that couple to make it all the way to the finals. What this goes to show is no one is safe. No matter how well you have done in the past, if you slip one week, just one week, you could face elimination. Everyone of our couples are going to have to bring their A game every week. Mel & Maks received a 30 last week. If they aren’t close to perfect again, it could be them this week. After Mark Cuban went home I said that the dead wood was gone and it was a whole new competition. I just hadn’t realized just how prophetic that statement was.
All that being said, I still think there are a few couples who are in more danger than the others. Namely, Jane & Tony and Marie & Jonathon. These two couples have consistently had lower scores from the judges over the past few weeks. As a result they are much more reliant on the audience than the other couples. Jane and Marie are going to need to be especially good and more importantly especially entertaining to the audience if they want to stay in the competition. Stay tuned because the way this season is going you won’t want to miss a week.

Sabrina was not that much of a shock, because if you checked dialidol.com you would have seen that Sabrina was coming in last or near to last in the voting for several weeks now. It was the judges scoring them first and second that kept Sabrina out of the bottom and hid the fact that the public was really not voting for her. And Marie has consistently scored near the top, so if she can keep out of the very bottom most place she should be fine for a while. Mel is not safe either. She does not have a big fan base. The only way she will stay in is if she keeps scoring in the number one position. Helio has a good combination of a strong fan base and highish scores so he has a good chance of staying in. I would say other then Helio it is WIDE OPEN. which is a lot more fun than just watching professional dancer Sabrina cha cha cha her way to the championship.
