On Friday night ABC’s news magazine program 20/20 will present a segment on Derek and Julianne Hough. In addition to being fan favorites on this season of Dancing With The Stars, these two siblings are professional ballroom dancing champions. This is Julianne’s second season. She returns after winning last season with speed skater Apollo Ohno. This is Derek’s first season paired with a star (Jennie Garth) after appearing on the show as a performer only.

Friday night’s 20/20 segment is on the Houghs is billed as: “What you don’t know about these dance coaches!” Now considering that DWTS is one of ABC’s big hits, I find it hard to believe that 20/20 is really going to dish any dirt on these two if there is any dirt to dish. I’m sure this is just going to be a feel good spot and a way to get some marketing synergy between ABC’s DWTS and 20/20 programs. Seriously don’t expect anything exciting. In fact 20/20’s big story billed for Friday night is a follow up on three kids they are following as they grow up in Camden, NJ. The story on Julianne and Derek will probably be saved for the last ten minutes of the show. My recommendation is to Tivo it and then you can fast forward to the DWTS portion of the show. Thats what I’m planning on doing. Or you could check back here at Wild Bluff Media. I’ll probably write up a little something on the 20/20 segment before next week’s DWTS.
