It’s tough to know where to even start with this one. You’ve got a random, mixed bag of actresses leading what could be funny but looks more likely to end up as awkward. The trailer informs you Mad Money is from the creator of Thelma & Louise, which gives me hope for a shocker ending where they all drive off a cliff, but I doubt that’s going to happen. As I tried to track down who exactly was involved in both this movie and Thelma & Louise I noticed one of the writers, John Mister, had just two writing credits to his name, this movie and a TV movie from the UK called, wait for it, “Hot Money.” Now if you guessed Hot Money was about a team of cleaners who planned to steal money that was destined to be destroyed, then you were right. So this is pretty much a polished made-for-TV movie. Enjoy!

Being a huge Diane Keaton fan aside, I think the movie looks totally fun, so why not give it a chance? Whatever the back story of the filming process was, I hope it rises above cynical expectations and delivers. Ya never know!
