Looks like Britney’s current arrangement to visit her two sons could go up in smoke as fast as her career. Federline’s lawyer called an emergency hearing on Thursday to file the complaint against Spears for missing 8 out of the 14 mandatory requests for random drug testing and for living in a “parallel universe.” I’m glad to see someone finally cracking down on those “other dimension” folks. Ohh I hate them so much with their smug little faces and care-free lifestyles.
Spears had herself a new lawyer, Anne Kiley, this time who may or may not have an actual law degree. Kiley argued with the judge, calling the drug tests unconstitutional and unreasonable while citing the reason for the missed tests as being too early in the morning. When the judge said an 8am test wasn’t unreasonable Spears’ lawyer snapped back that superstars like Spears aren’t used to being woken up at 8am and “you are not a pop star with a number one album, so you don’t know.” See, that’s funny because Britney doesn’t have a number one album either, that honor belongs to The Eagles this week. What kind of lawyer makes that argument anyway? Does the music industry hand out “get out of jail” cards to the person at the top of the charts?
