Here are all your movie details & trailers for this weekend, November 9 - 11, 2007:
Lions For Lambs
Starring: Tom Cruise, Meryl Streep, Robert Redford
Director: Robert Redford
Genre: Drama / Thriller / War
Rated: R for some war violence and language.
Duration: 1hr 28mins
Plot: A congressman (Cruise), a journalist (Streep) and a professor (Redford) are drawn into an investigation of two injured American soldiers in Afghanistan.
My Take: Of course this will be preachy, but the cast is top notch and its timely. I’m a little confused by the very short run time of less than 90 minutes. Isn’t that usually reserved for failed comedies?

Lions For Lambs - Movie Trailer:
Fred Claus
Starring: Vince Vaughn, Paul Giamatti, Elizabeth Banks
Director: David Dobkin
Genre: Comedy / Family / Fantasy
Rated: PG for mild language and some rude humor.
Duration: 1hr 56mins
Plot: Santa’s little-known brother, embittered by living in the shadow of his sibling’s spotlight, is forced to move back to the North Pole.
My Take: As much as I want this to be good I don’t see how it could. Wedding Crashers crew in a PG flick?

Fred Claus - Movie Trailer:
P2
Starring: Rachel Nichols, Wes Bentley
Director: Franck Khalfoun
Genre: Horror / Thriller
Rated: R for strong violence/gore, terror and language.
Duration: 1hr 38mins
Plot: On Christmas Eve, a driven career woman (Nichols) finds herself targeted by a sadistic security guard (Bentley) who traps her in her work’s parking garage.
My Take: Another Christmas set movie in early November? Ahh, so this is where American Beauty “beautiful floating bag” boy went. Could be fun on a low level, but I doubt it’s worth theater ticket prices.
