Tonight on TV Land at 8pm a special will be airing that gives the run down on the 50 greatest TV icons. It wasn’t just TV Land though that compiled this list. They had the help of Entertainment Weekly, which should certainly add another level of credibility This sounds like it’ll make for some pretty interesting interviews from the clips I’ve watched so far. Want a peak at the Top 5 names they came up with? Here ya go:
5. Walter Cronkite
4. Bill Cosby
3. Oprah Winfrey
2. Lucille Ball
1. Johnny Carson
So what do you think? I would have put Jerry Seinfeld in the top 5 while TV Land dropped him in at #8. It’d be hard to say that any of those names didn’t belong in the top five though, so that’s a tough call. You can see the full list of 100 greatest TV icons (which is strange since they’re billing it as the top 50) here at TVLand.com. You can even put together your own list to share with everyone at the site. Pretty cool.
