The Bachelor Season 11

This is it. One girl gets a rose and the other a broken heart. Unless it isn’t one of the girls whose heart gets broken. They are billing this as the most dramatic Bachelor Finale ever after Brad makes a last minute decision which changes everything. DeAnna and Jenni each have one last chance to convince Brad that they are the one for him. The rest of Brad’s family gets to meet the girls and let Brad know what they think.
Meet the Womacks
DeAnna went first. His family liked the fact that she was from Atlanta. Brad’s mom liked the affect DeAnna has had on Brad. For the first time on this show, Brad actually seemed comfortable. His real personality finally came out. Brad has just seemed stiff the rest of the season. DeAnna sort of said the same thing. She said that it was nice to actually see the playful side of Brad and to see him not so serious.

Jenni visited the family next. Mom didn’t pull any punches. Mom asked Jenni if she had told Brad that she loves him. Which she hasn’t. She tried to explain that she felt that when you say you love someone it should just come out, it shouldn’t be forced. Hmmm. Not a good answer. When his mom asked Jenni if she was in love with Brad, Jenni said she was falling in love with him. That is not a yes to me. When mom asked what she would do if Brad asked her she said, “I would say yes, brad, I love you.” That answer sounds a little contrived to me. After seeing this visit, I am leaning even more towards DeAnna.

When Brad talked to his mom she was leaning towards DeAnna. She said she felt much more comfortable talking with DeAnna than Jenni. She then said this was probably just because she met DeAnna first. I’m not buying it though. Mom likes DeAnna better, so do I, and so do our readers it seems. In the end, the mom was made to appear wishy-washy without giving any clear advise just like they do every season.

Visiting the Girls
Brad was now off to visit each of the girl’s at home. Brad went to see DeAnna in her apartment. She was baking. He has to pick her. DeAnna made lasagna for dinner. Apparently his mom asked her if she could cook. They talked a lot about their future together and their relationship. They are a really good match. They were both very honest with each other. I’m not sure I get the same feeling from Jenni.

When Brad dropped by to see Jenni she obviously hadn’t been cooking unless she is a sushi chef. Jenni broke down in to tears as she tried to tell Brad how she felt. I think Brad’s mother made an impression on her. I can’t believe she started crying. That is going to suck him in. The only thing guys have a harder time resisting than baked goods is tears (Ok there may be one other thing but, they can’t show that on TV). Jenni gave Brad a journal and read to him a little note that she had written. So much for saying I love you as a spontaneous declaration like she said to his mom. She really tore at his heart strings.

The Big Moment

The Bachelor 11 Jenni

Brad met with Jenni first. He didn’t beat around the bush. He told her that even though he really liked her and had feelings for her, he was looking for something more than what they had. Jenni broke down crying again. She said that this was why she was afraid to tell him how she felt the other night. Way to guilt trip him Jenni. Brad told her that no one should be embarrassed to tell someone else how they feel. Then he escorted her back to the limo.

The Bachelor 11 DeAnna

When DeAnna stepped up Brad immediately told her that he had never met anyone like her. Then he told her that he had already said goodbye to Jenni. DeAnna’s eye’s lit up. Then Brad started to sweat. he apologized and stepped away. When he returned he reminded DeAnna that they promised to always be honest with each other. He then told her that he didn’t feel that he could look her in the eyes and tell her he loved her. DeAnna was shocked. She totally called him on it saying, “I don’t understand. How can you say that to me?” Brad kept trying to tell her how much he cared about her. When he asked her, “Don’t you no how much I care about you?” DeAnna fired back, “No, no I don’t.” Way to not let him off the hook DeAnna. In the end Brad told her he had to escort her back to the car. DeAnna was justifiably hurt and angry. The fact that he already told her that she was the one had to cut her to the bone when he changed his mind at the last minute.

Big Brother 9

For once ABC actually lived up to their hype. This actually was the most dramatic Bachelor finale ever. I was expecting a surprise. I figured that maybe the girl he asked said no or worst case after telling one of the girls goodbye he changed his mind. I did not expect for him to send both of them home though. Brad did what he felt he had to. I guess for once when the Bachelor said he couldn’t make up his mind, he meant it. He was honest, I guess you have to you have to respect that. Or you could accuse him of copping out. He couldn’t decide which girl to pick so he didn’t pick either. It may have been dramatic but, after watching this show for ten weeks that was a very dissatisfying finale.

Make sure you watch the After the Rose Special tomorrow night. Brad will have to face both of the girls face to face for the first time since he said goodbye to them. I don’t envy Brad. Those two girls are still upset and angry with him. I don’t think anyone would blame them. DeAnna in particular deserves a little better explanation from Brad. I can’t wait to see if she gets it.

Brad, your mother should be ashamed of you. Why would you throw away the chance to find true love. You must not have wanted to find it. Why would you not want to continue to get to know one of the girls instead of throwing them both away.

    Your a coward

  2. Ronica

I would have to say WHY sign up for a show of this nature and then walk away empty handed, You played those women and that is wrong. Those women did not deserve that kind of ending with much anticipation for both of them and then that ending. You are truly a coward!

  3. Victoria

Really, Brad, I have to agree! Surely you knew before the very last moment that you were not in love with ANY of 25 lovely, intelligent, nice, available women presented to you. The network must feel cheated. I know we certainly do. One wonders why you went through the charade of buying a ring you clearly knew was only on loan.

It is impossible not to sympathize with both Jenni and DeAnna, both of whom are terrific women. It is truly your loss, and they are better off in the long run that you were honest, albeit way too late.

  4. B&B

    What a scam!

My wife and I were totally disappointed in this lame grand finale.

The network should have stepped in and had Chad (the twin) pick a woman for the poor doofus who can’t make up his mind.

  5. Deanne C.

Brad, obviously, alot of people like myself are more than a little disappointed in the end result of this show. I hope you are content with what you did. I just started believing that you could be good looking, rich and smart. Well, at least you are still rich. Hope that works for you cuz believe me, no sensible girl who saw this is going to want to trust you now. ABC, let’s get real and just cancel “The Bachelor” cuz none of them end up happily ever after anyways…reality sucks!

  6. Deanne C.

Why did Brad go ahead and go to Chopard’s to select a ring if he wasn’t sure of his pick? Why didn’t he just tell the network bigwigs that it was not going to happen? Did Brad feel so pressured by the scenario that he forgot to notice if he was in love? At 34, he appears to me after this to lack the maturity to identify within himself whether or not he is in love. How incredibly sad! Sexy in physicality, rich according to his bank accounts, but limited in common sense or awareness of love??? This is truly tragic for all concerned. I feel SO bad for the ladies. He DOES owe a HUGE explanation to them, especially DeAnna. Talk about using people and their hearts…on national tv no less. If I was Brad’s mother, I would be embarrassed. I am the mom of 7 sons and of the 6 who live at home, ALL of them stated that they were shocked by Brad’s decision and embarrassed as guys for the shock of this finale. Even my 10 year old said that Brad could have told DeAnna that he wanted to take it slower off camera. That was from the mouth and heart of a 10 year old! Brad, my sons could give you pointers!

  7. Caligula

Does anyone really believe this show is for real, to begin with? As if any of those bimbos with zero self esteme are looking for true love? …or that one can find “true love” on a sleazy tv show. He did the show to get some publicity for his business.

  8. Carol

This finale was a total let down!!! Did you do the show to get publicity for your business? I feel that you were misleading and that you are the most immature 34 year old,Jenni and DeAnna deserve better, and I hope they find it with someone worthy of their love.
I am done with this reality show, the network should pull it off their list.

While I understand why you wouldn’t want to commit to someone that you don’t love, my issue is that you led DeAnna on the entire time. She is a strong woman that has had to build a wall aroung herself to deal with the pain of loosing someone she loved so dearly at a young age. Here you come into her life, make her fall in love with the “real Brad” and then get her to the end only to let your FEAR OF COMMITMENT freeze you up and destroy her heart. Take a lesson from this ABC producers. Hurting people is never entertaining. I am ashamed that I was a viewer to this. Shame on you ABC and shame on you Brad for leading these women on.

  10. ncbabe

Oh and another thing, DeAnna made the statement that she was sick of being the woman that makes a guy better for the next woman. I hope she can find a guy that is worthy of everything she has to offer. When she does, I hope Brad is sick over it!!!

  11. Krista

OMG OMG! Thats really about all I can say. How totally calous of you Brad! What everyone else has said is true. You are very immature, very self involved, and I for one will never watch an episode of this show again. How do you plan on finding a wife now? Noone is going to want you after this. You are totally untrustworthy. I wouldnt trust you with my dog! Cheers to spending your life alone…. you deserve it!

  12. Anna

I am hoping that maybe he will ask DeAnna on the show tonight. He atleast should have asked her to have more time to spend with her instead of proposing right there. He said he didn’t want to break 2 hearts and look! He broke THREE. Maybe more because he probably broke the hearts of his and her family.

I was so shocked and really upset. Kinda seems like it was pointless to watch every episode before the finale. Gahhhh!!

  13. Sheila

What I didn’t understand was…did Brad know he wasn’t going to pick DeAnna shortly before rose ceremony OR did he decide just as he was talking to DeAnna?

  14. Pauli

Here may be a explanation for Brad’s rejection of all of the women, and this is strictly MY OPINION: What if he’s gay? That would explain it! I predict a bloodbath tomorrow night!

  15. Dawn S.

Ok after watching the ‘after show’ I have tons of respect for Jenni and DeAnna. They showed class and strength. Brad may deny it all he wants but his body language screamed that he was crazy about DeAnna. I personally think that because of his childhood, he has commitment issues and is so scared of letting go and giving his heart that he will allow this amazing lady to walk out of his life. I wish both ladies the best. I hope for DeAnna to find closure and eventually, happiness. For Brad, you need to come to terms with your inability to commit and allow yourself to love someone. Until then, stay away from other women, you have hurt too many already. Just my opinion.

  16. Lisa

Callous is all I can say. Even after watching the After the Rose show last night, we the viewers didn’t get any answers, nor did the 2 wonderful women he’s just letting go to try and pick up the pieces of their lives. If you look at the producers, they were also trying to save whatever remnants that are left to continue with this program by bringing back the only other couples that are still happy together! Brad, you don’t even deserve happiness!

After watching the after rose show, I was pissed off at Brad when he said that he had doubts choosing one of the girls while buying the ring. Instead of beating around the bush, he should of told both girls right away that he will let them both go. The way he dumped the girls was messed up especially Deanna who made her believe that he choose her over Jenni. At the after rose show, I cheered for Deanna for telling Brad off and letting him have it on national TV. I hope that Brad felt more embarrassed on TV more than he embarrassed Deanna & Jenni on TV. I thought Brad was hot, but after the final rose episode, he became ice cold. I’m glad Deanna’s over Brad, but Jenni still seems like she’s desparately in love with Brad. Jenni, get over him, girl! Remember that he dumped you first. He lost his chance to be with you the moment he dumped you on national TV. Move on because there is better fish in the sea!

One more thing I forgot to say and this time it’s about Jenni. It’s one thing that she is still heartbroken about Brad rejecting her on national TV, but it made matters worse for her that her grandmother passed away. Jenni, your grandmother is so adorable from what I saw in the clip of her appearance on the show and I feel your pain because I lost my grandmother this year, too. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
