We knew it was coming, all the signs were there. After weeks of casting calls and commentary from exec producer Grodner CBS has confirmed a winter edition of Big Brother 9. The 9th installment will launch on Tuesday, February 12th with the usual style of three shows a week and Chenbot at the helm. While the summer series has aired on Sunday, Tuesdays, and Thursdays this time around Eviction night will land on Wednesdays. This works out well for folks like me with little patience! No word yet on any possible themes other than the promise that they’ll have a winter focus. That of course means snow to me, but then I remembered Southern California doesn’t do that whole “snow” thing. Any suggestions out there for what makes a California winter?
Don’t worry about the danger of this premature arrival tampering with your summer fun either. CBS has also laid out their plans to pick right back up with Big Brother 10 just a few months after the completion of BB9. You can be sure that all of us here at Wild Bluff Media welcome the early return of HoH’s, nominations, vetoes, Big Brother Slop, and yes, even Julie Chen’s “but first” commentary.
