Heroes

I can’t believe the end of season 2 is here already for Heroes, but I guess that’s mostly due to the WGA strike. Somehow it’s felt like the writers must have been on strike for a long time before that really happened though as this season has felt mostly flat to me. I was very excited for the series to relaunch after such a big season ender last time. Then it didn’t seem like anything was really happening of interest. Tim Kring, the series creator, has even repeatedly apologized for the poor second season and admitted they miscalculated where the story should go. Hopefully this early end to the season will give them time to rethink the direction and for us to forget the past. While most of this season has been disappointing there have still been a few high points for me. I’m enjoying Kristen Bell’s character, Elle, and am glad to see David Anders make it to the present. With Sylar sidelined the whole villain area is a touch vacant. Sounds like that could get resolved tonight though.

Tonight’s season 2 finale episode, Powerless, should have plenty in store:

Deep below Primatech Paper in Odessa, TX, Peter’s reunion with Nathan turns violent when the brothers, Matt and Hiro all clash thanks to Adam and his pursuit of the deadly Shanti Virus. After watching his heroic cousin captured by a street gang, Micah turns to the one person who can help him save Monica — his mom. Meanwhile, Maya tragically learns how much of a monster Sylar really is during his kidnapping of Molly and Suresh . Meanwhile, Elle decides to play hero to get back into her father’s good graces.

Any guesses on which 2 heroes will die tonight? I’m pretty sure I know on one count, but I’m just swinging in the dark on the other.
