Some actresses use it to get their foot in the door. Others won’t go near it their entire career. Now it’s looking like Jessica Simpson might decide to do the former in her pursuit of landing an actual, respected acting career. Simpson’s past acting attempts have been far less than stellar with her “Employee of the Month” flop, though I’d put more blame on Dane “Not At All Funny” Cook for that one. Then Jessica had a movie that you probably never heard about, unless you were wisely reading this site each day! “Blonde Ambition” starring Simpson and, surprisingly, Luke Wilson looked like a remake of Working Girl mixed with some sort of nuclear disaster. Thankfully, for us at least, the movie’s studio decided after several release date bumps that it’d never be seen on the big screen. Heck, who knows if it’ll even get a DVD release or just collect dust on the shelves next to Indy’s Ark.

So after those pitiful shots at Hollywood success there are rumors that Jessica is considering a more risky role, according to FemaleFirst:

A source said: “Jessica is in the running for a role that, if she gets it, will put her right on the map in terms of acting. The only hitch is that the script requires a number of quite graphic scenes including a full-frontal nude scene. Jessica is so desperate to land the role and get the industry’s respect that she’s ready to go against her better judgment, and her family, by agreeing to bare all.”

We already know that Papa Joe isn’t gonna like this one and will probably never let it happen. Then again maybe Jessica is ready to step out on her own and call a few shots herself. What do you think? Total rumor or possible truth?
