It looks like the masses took to the theaters over the malls this weekend as Will Smith’s “I am Legend” took in a December record setting $76.5 million dollars! Not bad for the last man on Earth, eh? While I applaud audiences’ decision to see this I’m stunned by the second place earnings of $45 million for “Alvin & the Chipmunks.” E-gad. Even for kids this looked like a terrible mess. Instead I’d highly recommend Enchanted if you’re looking for a family friendly adventure. Your choice though.
