With the holidays over it’s time to start looking ahead to the spring season. Just in case you had your TV off over the holidays and missed any of the hundreds of commercials I thought I would post a reminder that Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann starts Monday night on ABC at 8/7c. The six week run of Dance War will be a great way to scratch your Dancing With The Stars itch until the new season starts probably sometime in mid-march. In addition to the two Dancing With The Stars judges, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, ABC has also brought back another DWTS favorite to be part of the show. Dance War will be hosted by Drew Lachey, who was the the Season Two Dancing with the Stars champion and also substituted as the co-host of DWTS while Samantha Harris was on maternity leave.
Bruno and Carrie Ann spent this fall scouring the country to find the nation’s hottest talent. This week during the audition show, they will select the 12 best performers. These contestants will then be divided into two teams. Team captains Tonioli and Inaba will mentor their teams through spectacularly-themed song and dance numbers ranging from Latin to Pop and Country. The fate of the teams is in the hands of viewers who will vote for their favorite group each week. The captain of the lowest scoring team — whether it be Bruno or Carrie Ann — will face the dilemma of having to choose one of their performers for elimination. The champions will win a life changing prize - they’ll go on tour as the opening act for a major performing artist and a chance to start a thrilling career as part of a brand new all-dancing, all-singing act.
