Well thats it. Simon, Paula, and Randy have picked the American Idol Top 24 contestants; 12 men and 12 women. There were really only a few surprises. I’m sure no one was shocked that Carly Smithson or Amanda Overmyer made it. In fact all of the women were either pretty much what I expected or else women that I really didn’t remember too much about. The only woman I was disappointed about was Cardin McKinney. I really liked her a lot but, she did not have a very good week in Hollywood. The biggest surprise on the men’s side was Josiah Leming. I think they made the right decision. He had a great voice but he needs a few more years of experience or maybe maturity before he can consistently perform. Simon gave David Hernandez a stiff warning. He basically told him that he disagreed with Randy and Paula, and David was going to have to work really hard if he wanted any chance to win the competition. To me this means that David is not going to be around too long.
