It’s finally here. Today the semi-teaser trailer was released for Indiana Jones 4 “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” and I’m not going to lie. It looks awesome. The first half of the trailer does rely heavily, well entirely, on the previous three films. I guess they’re trying to remind us of how much we loved the earlier installments. Harrison Ford definitely looks much older, but I think we’ll be able to forgive and forget. Allegedly, Shia La”PutMeInEverything”Beouf is in this one to grab the whip and take over the franchise. While LaBeouf is growing on me I think he’s got a long, long way to achieve the charisma that Ford brings to the series.

This new leg of the Indiana Jones story is a bit of a deviation from the usual subjects while still retaining important aspects. The Nazis are back and this time led by Cate Blanchett. This marks the first time we’ve had a lead female villain. There was the female villain in the third one that ultimately plunged to her doom as she couldn’t give up on the Holy Grail as it rolled into the depths of the Earth, but I’ll stilll give it to Blanchett. The new angle on this one will be aliens. Yeah, you heard me. Indy is chasing an alien artifact which happens to be the “Crystal Skull” part of the title. That’s a little out there for me, but I’m willing to work with it for now. So are you as excited for this one as I am? Well get ready because May 22nd, 2008 will be here sooner than you think!
