BB9 Houseguests

Tonight on Big Brother 9 we’ll get the official results from the nomination ceremony along with all the drama as these houseguests are still settling into their new home. When the houseguests returned to the inside of the house after the HoH competition last week they were greeted with a memory wall full of pictures. This hadn’t been turned on yet as they were waiting for the houseguest count to drop to 14. Amanda dislikes her picture, but manages to not break down in tears like Jen last year. Jen stands up and proclaims that she’s the first on the board because she’s going to win the whole thing. Parker hates this because she’s being too cocky and drawing attention to them both as a pair. They discuss and Jen promises to bring it down a notch, but not just yet.

The drama over Jen & Ryan is just getting started as Allison and Parker first talk about how unfair it is. This gets followed up with Allison telling Jen and Ryan that if they push her around she’ll push back and reveal their secret to everyone. This actually shuts Jen up for a minute, but then she’s right back at her later on alongside Parker. They start up the bullying again telling her she is being childish for making that threat. Clearly Jen & Parker are well suited and I’d believe they’re more of a match than Jen & Ryan.

Time for a few Big Brother tears. Amanda tells her story about the suicide of her father. It’s very sad, but seems slightly aimed at drawing sympathy votes. It works with Chelsia who says she sees Amanda in a whole new way now. Later as Amanda and Alex celebrate their new HoH room it comes up that Alex’s father was lost in the Sept. 11th attacks. It’s subtle and Alex doesn’t make a big deal out of it. Back to Amanda though who cries when she opens her HoH CD to find her father’s favorite album.

On a lighter note, James reveals to the house that Adam is uncut. Jen doesn’t get Adam’s allusion with “hooded warrior” and then admits she’s never seen an uncircumcised penis. Adam offers up a one on one session to enlighten her but she settles for a peak, or so he says, we don’t really see this happen. Today I am grateful for Adam not exposing his penis to the house or America at large. Amen.

Back to the drama. In an attempt to strike first, Jen and Parker decide they should tell everyone before Allison gets the chance. Thing is, Allison had the chance and already decided she wouldn’t tell anyone. Oh well. J&P tell Alex & Matt who are both put off by the fact that Parker wasn’t straight with them, especially considering Parker’s earlier rant on Jacob for deceit. Touche. Next J&P tell Natalie and Amanda. The stress makes Amanda “need to poop.” I’m not making this stuff up. Allison goes to confront J&P over their decision to tell everyone and Jen starts yelling at Allison. I’ve gotta say that Jen has turned out to be nothing like what I expected. I thought she’d be one of my favorites and she’s easily my least favorite right up there with Parker. Again, those two are well paired.

Now that the secret is out paranoia sits in with the rest of the house. A group meeting is called to pass around the Bible so everyone will swear they don’t know anyone in the house. This goes smoothly except for Natalie, who adds without request that she hasn’t had sex in nine months either. I guess this was recorded before the other night with Matt, eh? In response to the tension Allison and Sheila decide to create their own twist. They call over Joshuah and kiddingly tell him they’re lesbian hookers who are together. Joshuah is hilarious as he seems to really, really believe them. He runs off to grab Neil and they share a giggle fest in the storage room. It’s pretty funny.

Okay, enough funny, let’s do this nomination ceremony. Amanda reveals that if she didn’t agree with Alex on nominations the two of them would get a penalty nom and be replaced by last week’s HoH comp runner-ups, Matt & Natalie. Luckily they manage to agree and bring the new wheel o’ keys down to the big table. First pair of keys belong to Adam & Sheila. Second set: James & Chelsia. Third set: Matt & Natalie. Last pair of keys go to Joshuah & Neil. A&A explain that they feel Jen & Ryan have a huge advantage over everyone in the house with their relationship and so they have been targeted for eviction. The episode ends here as Allison tell us she’ll do everything she can to evict Jen this week. I’m hoping she’s successful. What about you?

If you can’t wait until Tuesday to find out who left the house, who returned, and how the PoV competition and ceremony went then head over to read those spoilers here.
