Tonight on the Season Finale of Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Anne the cast of the Dancing With The Stars Season 6 was announced. Here is our look at this season’s stars (or check out the DWTS season 6 image gallery):

Marlee Matlin Probably the most controversial star this season. Matlin is best known for her work on the West Wing but, is also well known for for being deaf. Her disability has not done anything to curb her career but, I’ll be interested to see how she can over come her inability to hear the music. You have to admire her though.

Penn Jillette Famous magician Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller fame, has a huge personality. Penn will be lots of fun to watch but, man, I seriously doubt brother can dance. Penn is nothing if not an entertainer, so he might prove me wrong. I’ll bet Penn’s routines will be original and great to watch.

Marissa Jaret Winokur Winokur is Tony Award Winning Broadway actress who starred in Hairspray. She is obviously an early favorite have performed and danced frequently in front of live audiences.

Adam Carrola Best known as the co-host of Comedy Central’s The Man Show and for his syndicated radio advice show. Carolla will be entertaining if nothing else although I just have a hard time seeing him dancing… or doing anything athletic for that matter.

Kristy Yamaguchi Probably one of the most famous ice skaters of all time. Kristy Yamaguchi has the grace and athletic ability to bring home olympic gold on the ice. I bet she can do the same on the hardwood of the ballroom. Look for Kristy to be a string favorite early on.

Christian De La Fuente South American heart-throb Christian De La Fuente is obviously trying to capitalize on Helio Castronevesas DWTS win last season. I’m sure he’ll be a huge fan with the ladies.

Monica Seles It seems the famous tennis pro, winner of 9 Grand Slam events, has decided to give up the tennis court for the ballroom.

Mario This R&B singer has got the hip hop dance moves but lets see how he does in a tux and lifts.

Steve Guttenberg Comedic actor Steve Guttenberg is most famous for his Police Academy series of films. Guttenberg career peaked in the 80’s so he is probably hoping DWTS fame will reinvigorate it.

Jason Taylor Taylor is this season’s sports star. He is a linebacker for the Miami Dolphins. If the former NFL greats on previous DWTS seasons are any indication (Jerry Rice and Emmett Smith) Taylor could be a force to be reckoned with on the dance floor.

Shannon Elizabeth Voted Maxim’s Hottest Women in the World and one of the stars of American Pie, Shannon has a huge fan base among men in addition to a hard body which will allow her to compete.

Priscilla Presley The King’s widow is this season elder lady. Historically the older contestants have been popular but tend to have trouble keeping up with their younger counterparts. I’ll be interested to see how Priscilla Presley does against the younger athletes in the cast.

Dancing With The Stars Season 6 premieres on ABC, March 17, 2008.
