Yesterday, February 18th 2008, American Idol audition favorite Josiah Leming appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show. Josiah was the young man who was living in his car. Like many fans of Josiah, Ellen was shocked and disappointed when Randy, Paula, and Simon sent Josiah home after having loved him up until the last audition. So in typical Ellen fashion she had him on the show. Josiah talked about how he ended up auditioning for American Idol and how disappointed he was. Josiah then had a chance to perform one of his original songs which resulted in a standing ovation from the studio audience. After performing, Ellen gave Josiah $8000 in instruments, recording gear, and electronics to allow him to continue his musical career. You can see the full video on The Ellen DeGeneres Show website.

What a wonderful thing to do for such a fine young man. We all need a break at sometime in our life.
We all know life is not always fair but sometimes these disappointments make us better people. Thanks Ellen
