Update: You can find our recap of tonight’s PoV episode here.
On Sunday’s episode of Big Brother 9 we saw Amanda & Alex nominate Jen & Parker along with Allison & Ryan. These selections share the target of Jen & Ryan as the real world couple, feared by the rest of the house for their potential to become a stronger team later in the season. Of these two pairs I’d much rather see Jen & Ryan walk out the front door. Jen is a nasty, rude girl and Parker is a plain ol’ jerk who prefers to yell first and ask questions later. At this point both sets of “soulmates” really only have one true chance to be safe, the Power of Veto.
Tonight on Big Brother 9 we’ll see more of the aftermath of the nominations as well as the competition for the Power of Veto. I’m expecting we’ll get the ceremony as well, but with this being our first PoV episode we’ll have to wait and make sure BB doesn’t want to draw it out until Wednesday when we have the live eviction. This year the player selection for PoV will be a little bit different from last year. Instead of “miracle ping pong balls” for everyone the participants will be both nominated pairs, the HoH pair, and one other pair randomly selected by the HoH. I’m guessing that last pair will be still be a ping pong ball selection, but with the pairs there is no need to do this for who will be the nominees’ partners. Let’s hope this competition is a little more challenging than last week’s HoH Tunnel of Love competition.
If you can’t wait until tonight to see what happens with the Power of Veto competition you can check out Big Brother 9 Net for this week’s PoV spoilers. Check back tonight after the show for our BB9 PoV episode recap.
