After an incident that required an emergency hospital visit and bandaged wrists back last August, Owen Wilson is finally getting back to acting. Wilson had to drop out of Ben Stiller’s comedy flick “Tropic Thunder”, but that might have been just as well for him. Instead Owen will be coming back to the studios to film “Marley and Me” with Jennifer Aniston. I’m not sure, but I think Aniston is playing the part of Marley. Hard to tell really.

On the surface Marley & Me looks like a silly comedy about a wild puppy, but while I may not be able to read I’ve still been witness to many a sob story over the plot of the book. However, if you’re already familiar with Marley and you enjoyed it then you’ll be glad to know the author has given it his stamp of approval in an interview with PEOPLE:

“I’m thrilled they’re starting production on this. It’s been a long time coming and I really couldn’t be happier on that,” Marley & Me author John Grogan tells PEOPLE. “I read the script and I like it. I think it’s really true to the book.”

Well there you go. Wilson resurfaces to star in a tear jerker. Go figure.
