For parents that grew up on Nickelodeon shows like “Double Dare” then you might enjoy giving “My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad” a watch with your own kids. While this new game show which premiered last Monday might not feature actual fist fights between tough fathers it does pit them against other dads in a battle to see who is the best. I completely missed this one last week as I thought it was a joke from the title, but after seeing it highlighted on The Soup for its jittery, young team members I thought it might be worth a chuckle for some of our readers. Details from NBC’s official site:
Hosted by Dan Cortese (”MTV Sports,” “What I Like About You”), “My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad” features dads and their respective 8 to12-year-old sons or daughters at the forefront of the action — leading them in exciting larger-than-life challenges testing dad’s strength, smarts and their ability to work as a team. Ultimately, the triumphant dad will strut away with the all-important bragging rights and the opportunity to compete in the “money” round, with a chance to win up to $50,000.
If you’re still not sure what to make of it then check out the video below. Game show or not the challenges look like fun.
