People must have been out doing better things with their weekends than watching movies because other than freshman flick “Vantage Point” most movies earned meager box office pulls. “Vantage” nearly doubled its closest competitor with $24 million on its opening weekend while the other newbie “Be Kind, Rewind” earned just $4.1 million. Not bad for “Be Kind” if you consider it was only open in ~800 theaters which more than tripled the other new releases “Charlie Bartlett” and some other piece of crap from Larry the Cable Guy that I won’t even name hear out of respect for movies everywhere. Juno continues to stay on the board with $4.1 million this weekend, pushing itself over the $130 million mark. “There Will Be Blood” refuses to die as well as it climbed higher to #10 from #12 last weekend. Go see that movie already!
