David Archuleta impressed everyone tonight on American Idol with his version of John Lennon’s Imagine. The judges loved it! Even Simon was totally impressed which, as we know, is no small feat. Maybe one of the reasons Archuleta did such a great job with this song is because this was not the first time he has performed it live on television.

i cannot stop thinking about david archuletas performance last night. this kid sang this song so well, even better than i have ever heard. i loved the twist of notes and his voice. unforgetable.

I don’t know what is in the Utah water system but whatever it is it purifies your voice, and serves a much higher purpose to your millions of fans … quenching their thirst for good music, if not great music! Your humility and goodness of spirit are contagious! “IMAGINE” a world of sincere and personable youth like you, David, seeking the righteous desires of their heart. Your music is magic! Your heart is huge! And your example for today’s youth is energizing! Thank God I have TiVo…I replayed David’s performance of “Imagine” at least a half-dozen times and reserved a copy at iTunes. John Lennon wrote a beautiful and timeless song, and David sang it like John never could…his interpretation was phenominal. The tears were literally running down my face! He is destined for greatness and I’m quite sure, whether he wins this competition or not, his professional recordings will be gracing our stereos for many years to come. He has an extraordinary gift. His performance was truly extraordinary!!!! Bravisimo!!!! MORE, MORE, MORE!!!!

Way to go, David! I love everything that comes out of your mouth! Have watched your performances repeatedly because I saved them on my DVR and YouTube. I’m driving my teenaged son crazy!
I find myself interested in music for the first time in many years.
You are so incredibly talented, sweet, and way past cute! I don’t buy CDs, but I’ll buy everything you ever put out! I hope you can get a Christmas CD out before this year’s holiday.
