Tonight on Big Brother 9 we’ll get our second live eviction and fourth HoH couple of the season. From everything that has gone on in the house on the live feeds i don’t think tonight should be much of a surprise. Before we can get to the good stuff Chenbot reminds us about all the medical drama from last week and congratulates the house on handling it so well. Everyone agrees that it was a big ordeal but they are better off now because of it.

While we’ve heard on the feeds that Allison wanted out Alex & Amanda we witness a change of heart as she watches Matt & Natalie working out in the backyard. She decides they are pretty strong and thinks they should vote out M&N instead of A&A. Allison rushes upstairs and convinces everyone that they need to vote out M&N. Despite James’ original plans for Operation Condor he is good with the new plan and dubs it “Operation Throw Down”.

Back to the live show Julie Chen goes around the living room and asks everyone awkward questions. (While I’m writing this up the HGs on the live feeds are talking about how they aren’t looking forward to Julie asking them more “f’d up questions.”) Tonight’s questions are aimed first at Sheila ask Julie talks to her about the fight between her and Allison. Sheila says she is the type of person that doesn’t hold back and will go confront someone if she has a problem. That’s interesting because the whole fight came up after Sheila was going around talking behind Allison’s back about Allison. So much for confronting people. Other than that the HGs just banter around about life as usual.

Heading upstairs we get a private conversation with the HoH couple, James & Chelsia. James explains that he had to put up both M&N and A&A because of their closeness. Otherwise if he just put up one of the couples the other could have saved them from the block. This way even if one of them got the PoV he would still have one of them as a target to evict. Simple but smart plan. James then goes on to explain that he doesn’t like most of the HGs because they are materialistic. Julie asks James what he’d do with the money then and he says he’d use it to encourage people to ride their bikes around the world like he does. Please note that James considers “riding a bike around the world” to be riding it around America. The other HGs might be materialistic but I bet they know there are other counties in the world.

Eviction Results:
Enough of the fluff, it’s time for eviction. The votes are live tonight. If the couples can’t decide on their vote then they will be evicted instead. Yikes!

First up is Adam & Sheila. They vote to evict Alex & Amanda. Second vote is from Joshuah & Sharon. They vote to evict Alex & Amanda. That’s it. Only 2 votes were required. Lastly, Ryan & Allison vote and they vote to evict Alex & Amanda. By a vote of 3-0, just like I predicted, Alex & Amanda have been evicted.

Amanda sobs on everyone’s shoulder as they prepare to leave. Alex stays pretty calm about it. Eventually, after a request from Julie, Amanda & Alex leave the house. On the couch Alex says his refusal to campaign probably led to their eviction, but he still believes Amanda was the cause of their nominations. I’d agree.

HoH Competition:
Tonight’s HoH competition is called “Words of Love” and is another quiz style elimination comp. Julie asks the HGs about the love quotations on the walls and if they correctly identify the author then they can eliminate another HG. If they answer wrong they are eliminated.

Sharon gets the first one right and eliminates Allison.
Sharon gets the second one right and eliminates Sheila.
Sharon gets the third one and Natalie is eliminated.

Now it’s the men’s turn.

Ryan gets the first one wrong and is eliminated.
Joshuah gets the second one right and eliminates Matt.
Joshuah gets the third one right and eliminates Adam.

By default, Joshuah and Sharon can’t compete against each other and so they are declared the new HoH. Congratulations to J&S. Watch out Allison & Ryan!

Before the episode ends Julie tells us that next week’s evicted couple will get a huge surprise that no one expects. This event will mark the start of a new chapter in Big Brother 9, says Julie.
