Big Brother 9 returns tonight for the exciting live eviction and subsequent HoH competition. Right now James & Chelsia’s nominations of Matt & Natalie and Alex & Amanda remain intact after last night’s PoV winners, Sharon & Joshuah, decided not to use it. At this point I’m pretty sure we know which way the house is leaning but nothing is final until someone is sitting on Julie’s couch.

At first it seemed a no-brainer that Alex & Amanda would be heading home. James & Chelsia clearly stated this was their goal and they were intent on achieving that. Of course nothing lasts forever and just a few days later the house had shifted its weight and were locking in votes against Matt & Natalie. It didn’t seem to me that anyone was necessarily doing this out of dislike as most folks aren’t crazy for Amanda, but rather that they just couldn’t decide who was more of a threat. While I do think both Matt & Alex are nearly equal in their potential of danger later down the road I’m not so convinced that Amanda & Natalie are on equal ground. Amanda has a real tendency to piss off folks and bring down the hate on her. Natalie is a bit easier to like and gets along well with most folks in there, but I don’t think she can compete as well.

Tonight there will be three votes. Just three votes will cast the decision for who stays and who heads out to where ever it is CBS is hiding them at this point. Joshuah & Sharon are going to want to vote out Matt & Natalie, but I don’t think they’re going to do that because the other two votes are looking to go against Alex & Amanda. Both Allison & Ryan along with Sheila & Adam are planning to vote out A&A.

With just three votes tonight all anyone needs is two of those and it looks like it’s been decided. If J&S realize this and know they’d be voting against the couple staying then they’d be wise to look like they wanted them to stay rather than being stuck in the house with someone mad at them. That being said, I’ll predict a shut out vote with 3-0 for Amanda & Alex’s eviction.
