This week on American Idol we saw some amazing performances. No surprise that David Archuleta and Carly Smithson were among the best. I still think that over all the girls are much stronger than the guys despite the number of emails and comments I’ve had to the contrary. This week, I think we also started to see a number of the singers start to fall behind the pack. On the guys side, Jason Yeager (who I still think should have gone home last week) and Luke Menard are probably in the greatest danger. Luke has a great voice but its better suited to Broadway than pop music. Jason just sounded like he was singing in a Karaoke bar.
There were three or four girls who could be in trouble tonight. Asia’H Epperson had a lot of trouble hitting the notes last night because she was sick. In my opinion, Alexandria Lushington, sounded just awful. Despite the fact that Kady and Amanda didn’t have their best night, I’m hoping that they get another chance, but I wouldn’t be shocked if one of them went home either.
