The ladies continued 80’s night tonight on American Idol. The guys rocked it last night. I always feel bad for the women because they have had a tough act to follow every week. We’re almost to the point where the will combine so they don’t have to worry too much longer. Here’s what the judges had to say about the ladies:
Asia’H Epperson: I Wanna Dance With Somebody
Randy: “Tall order… you did it, that was hot.”
Paula: “You nailed it.”
Simon: “Second rate Whitney Houston… good enough to make the top 12.”
Kady Malloy: Forever
Randy: “Interesting song choice… pretty good.”
Paula: “Your best performance for me… the tenderness of your voice is magic.”
Simon: “Better than last week… lacks personality… robotic”
Amanda Overmyer: I Hate Myself for Loving You
Randy: “That is who you are. Well done!”
Paula: “Right song choice, you found your niche.”
Simon: “Fantastic! …nailed the song. Perfect choice for you.”
Carly Smithson: I Drove All Night
Randy: “Smashing it every week… very, very good.”
Paula: “Totally into your niche.”
Simon: “Not the right song… you deserve better than that song. ”
Kristy Lee Cook: Faithfully
Randy: “Great song… put a country look to it… I liked it.”
Paula: “[That] could be a hit for you in country music… nothing but positivity.”
Simon: “Its good we heard the country influence; still your problem is you are forgetable.”
Ramiele Malubay: Against All Odds
Randy: “Thats a big song with big vocals… pretty good vocals… stop thinking just go for it! You need to get your confidence back.”
Paula: “Lot of texture in your voice… you deserve to be in the top 12.”
Simon: “Good but old fashioned… no big money note… predictable.”
Brooke White: Love is a Battlefield
Randy: “I liked it… someone else played the guitar so we could focus on her.”
Paula: “Wise choice… could have incorporated the band… pure.”
Simon: “Worked best without the band… original take… great performance.”
Syesha Mercado: Saving All My Love for You
Randy: “Good… good…”
Paula: “Sophisticated and lovely.”
Simon: “Predictable but good.”
