Beauty and the Geek returns tomorrow night for its fifth season. If you don’t remember this show it’s where they get a bunch of geeks and a bunch of gorgeous women together and attempt to make a love connection. The women are usually painfully beautiful and dumb while the geeks are awkward and in some cases frightening. Here is how the CW describes the cast:

The contestants include nine gorgeous but academically impaired women and nine brilliant but socially challenged men. The challenges will test intellect and social skills to give contestants a chance to win the $250,000 grand prize.

Now, how can you beat that for great television? My personal favorite is Tom, the self-described “sweater vest enthusiast”. That’s scary almost to the point of being fake. This season there is a twist. Instead of competing as beauty and the geek pairs the beauties will be competing against the geeks. I’m not sure how this is supposed to create romantic pairing so I’ll guess you’ll have to watch to find out. Each of the previous seasons resulted in an unlikely romantic connection between a beauty and a geek. The season premieres on the CW Tuesday, March 11th at 8/7c.
