The reunion of Al Pacino and Robert De Niro gets me excited. “Heat” was an absurdly awesome cops & robbers movie where those two ruled the screen. Here we are nearly fifteen years later with these two coming back but this time they’ll be working side by side. What I’m a little disappointed about is that “Righteous Kill” sounds like too many movies that have come before it with vigilante killers tracked by police. In most recent memory you’ve got “The Brave One” where the only brave ones were those who sat through the whole thing. I’m also not crazy about casting Curtis Jackson. He does his music well, but he’s not an actor and I think there have to be a ton of young actors that could have filled that role without having to fall back on a gimmicky casting. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to see this, but I’m just going to be a little cautious about it.
