The Marianas Variety reports that Doctor, Navy lieutenant, and former The Bachelor star Andy Baldwin, was in Palau as part of Project Active, helping children on the island. Project Active aims to “diffuse world tension through sports related education, equipment, mentoring and encouragement.” project Active donated 500 pairs of sneakers to needy children on the island. While there Baldwin did doctor duty, examining about 50 islanders. It’s nice to see that it wasn’t just editing by the Bachelor producers which made him look like a nice guy. Andy Baldwin certainly seems to be the real deal.

Do you think the new season’s Bachelor, a London financier, can live up to the halo prone Baldwin? I think that’ll be near impossible to do, but you never know. We’ll be ready on Monday to see how that goes.
