I enjoy a good horror thriller movie, but torture porn and slashers like Hostel or Captivity don’t do much for me. I’m thinking that The Strangers may fall somewhere in between and hopefully closer to the thriller side than gore for the sake of gore. I’m glad to see Liv Tyler back, though I guess when you get involved in LotR you are probably paid well enough to hang low for years to come. The Strangers looks all around creepy and scary and will hopefully do for me what last week’s “Funny Games” didn’t.
