The show picks up on Day 42 of Big Brother 9 as we watched Matt walk out of the house while Natalie made moves of desperation. Really sad and not like in a tearful way. She is torn up about losing her “soulmate”. Natalie says it’s time to wipe away those tears and play the game for herself.

Adam’s HoH room reveal was pretty interesting. Lots of pics, of course, but the real mystery comes up with the discovery that Adam likes baby food. He thinks his mother sent it all to him and he’s a little upset, but I think that’s because he’s embarrassed. But guess who else likes baby food? That’s right, Natalie! She loves baby food too. Sure, why not, that probably makes more sense than not.

The house is clearly dividing into two groups. Adam, Sheila, Natalie, and Ryan against James, Chelsia, Sharon, and Joshuah. Joshuah and Sheila are talking about who will get nominated and of course he says she will be one of them just to get her upset. Later Adam joins in the teasing with Joshuah on putting up Sheila. He’s not serious, but she doesn’t know that.

Hah. CBS just advertised that we can “get involved in this week’s HoH competition.” Hey, tell you what CBS, go suck it. Evil or Very Mad I fell for that whole America’s Vote crap last time and I’m not going to do again this time. I would highly recommend everyone skipping the CBS site voting this week to send the message that we didn’t appreciate the treatment last time.

Luxury Competition:
The reward is a sneak preview of “21″ and everyone is ready. Uh, anyone notice how four or five of the HGs are dressed in all black like they’re going to rob a store after this. The HGs head out back to play a game called “Big Brother Blackjack” where they are shown cards with HG faces on them and numbers. The first to ring in with the names of the HGs that add up to 21 wins a chip. The first to 4 chips wins 4 passes to the movie.

Ryan gets the first chip. James guesses wrong next and is out. Adam gets a chip. Sheila is out. Joshuah mocks her for losing, which is funny because he almost never wins anything. Ryan ends up winning the comp and picks James, Adam, and Natalie. Before he can collect his prize he is offered a chance to risk it for a bigger prize. He has the option to play for a Vegas trip worth over $21K, but he’ll have to give up his movie tickets to play a hand of blackjack to win the big prize.

Ryan takes the chance and plays the hand. Ryan gets 18 while Adam, the dealer, has just a 3 showing. Ryan wisely chooses to stay on 18. Adam takes another hit and gets a 10 for 13 showing. Adam flips his card to get 19 which beats Ryan’s hand. Um, considering those jumbo cards can’t be shuffled I would be suspicious that Ryan was set up here for going for the big prize.

Natalie thinks she’s on to something in the house with patterns of 8 showing up everywhere. She’s kinda crazy, so yeah, we’ll let it go. Okay, not totally crazy as she says she thinks it has something to do with Evel Dick. So we know that Dick is coming back this week, but that doesn’t really have anything to do with the number eight. We also do not know when Natalie really recorded those DR confessions and BB is notorious for using recordings well out of time sync (ie. Joshuah getting his letter from home happened before James was first evicted, yet it was shown after that point in BB time since James was back and could then theoretically be seen in the scene.)

The house gets a new table as there are just half of the original 16 HGs. Oh boy, we’re back to the 8 thingies with Natalie. I’m guessing that Natalie’s brother might be Tom Cruise and he’s going to take her on that trip to Vegas himself. Along they way she’ll count toothpicks, talk about how she’s a “very good driver”, and finally they’ll have to talk their way into a strangers house so she can watch The People’s Court.

Nomination Ceremony:

Time for the nomination ceremony. No big surprise which direction Adam is heading with these choices despite all the confusing signals that CBS throws at us. Just as I predicted, Adam nominates James & Chelsia.
