Tonight all of the couples will perform again. Their scores and votes from last week will be combined with the same tonight. Then two of them will be eliminated tomorrow night.
Steve Guttenberg & Anna Trebunskaya
Dance: Mambo
That was Ok. I expected Steve to do a little better with the acting part. He had that goofy, fake look on his face throughout the entire routine. His dancing was highly mediocre. It didn’t work for Len either. Bruno said his footwork, posture, and timing were all off. Carrie Ann had a problem with Steve’s musicality (I still don’t think thats a real word).
Carrie Ann Inaba: 6
Len Goodman: 5
Bruno Tonioli: 5
Total: 16
Christian De La Fuente & Cheryl Burke
Dance: Quickstep
It wasn’t perfect but, overall it wasn’t bad. I was a little worried at the beginning because he didn’t seem to be in step with Cheryl but that improved as the routine went on. Len and Carrie Ann both liked the energy. Len had some problems with their technique. Bruno really like the performance. All of the judges agreed that he had some problems with his footwork.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 7
Len Goodman: 6
Bruno Tonioli: 7
Total: 20
Monica Seles & Jonathon Roberts
Dance: Mambo
Monica is a great athlete. She is a terrible dancer. Monica has the elegan
Carrie Ann Inaba: 5
Len Goodman: 5
Bruno Tonioli: 5
Total: 15
Penn Jillette & Kym Johnson
Dance: Quickstep
I’m not really sure Penn’s fottwork has improved since last week. His feet are just way too big for the Quickstep. His posture looked better though. I enjoyed their routine. Penn is always fun to watch no matter what he is doing. Len thought they came close to a real quickstep but Penn’s footwork needed alot of work. Bruno thought the fottwork was really, really, really bad. Carrie Ann really enjoyed their routine.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 6
Len Goodman: 6
Bruno Tonioli: 5
Total: 17
Priscilla Presley & Louis van Amstel
Dance: Mambo
That was the best performance so far tonight. I’m not sure I would have called it sexy though. It was fun and technically sound. Carrie Ann disagreed with me. She thought it was sexy. Len thought it was very good but he would have liked it better if she had let go a bit more. Bruno agreed that it was good technically. He also would have liked to see Priscilla let go a little more.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 7
Len Goodman: 7
Bruno Tonioli: 7
Total: 21
Shannon Elizabeth & Derek Hough
Dance: Quickstep
That was really good. Monica Seles wishes she was half as elegant and poised as Shannon Elizabeth. Shannon and Derek did an awesome job tonight. They looked great. I thought Bruno was going to jump out of his seat as he was clapping and cheering when they finished. ‘Now that was dancing,’ was Bruno’s quote. Carrie Ann gave Shannon credit for doing a great on a very difficult routine. Len’s worst criticism was that Shannon clung to Derek a little too much. If that’s the worst Len could come up with then they must have done well.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 8
Len Goodman: 8
Bruno Tonioli: 8
Total: 24
Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska
Dance: Mambo
Jason’s actually not half bad. We might just have another Emmitt Smith on our hands. That was really good too. Len said that was a winner. Bruno called him the Mambo King. Carrie Ann said he was real contender. She actually said she thought he could win.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
Len Goodman: 9
Bruno Tonioli: 9
Total: 27
Marissa Jaret Winokur & Tony Dovolani
Dance: Quickstep
Marissa and Tony did a really nice job. They were full of energy and excitement. It was fun to watch. Carrie Ann liked it but was disappointed in their synchronicity (I swear she makes these words up). Len said, “You made me smile… you were lovely and bubbly.” He thought it was a great improvement over last week. Bruno you did a great, fun performance of a classic quickstep even though they lost their footwork a few times.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 7
Len Goodman: 7
Bruno Tonioli: 7
Total: 21
Adam Carrola & Julianne Hough
Dance: Mambo
Ok, it was better than last week. That isn’t saying much though. It was entertaining at least. I thought Adam had a real problem with staying on the beat and synchronized with Julianne. Bruno said that Adam was not a natural dancer but he made him laugh. Carrie Ann said it wasn’t quite a mambo but it was green and it was cute. Len called it brilliant because it was so entertaining.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 6
Len Goodman: 7
Bruno Tonioli: 6
Total: 19
Marlee Matlin & Fabian Sanchez
Dance: Quickstep
I have to be honest and say I wasn’t sure how well Marlee would do with the quickstep but she did an awesome job. That was one of the best performances of the night. After seeing that, Adam and Monica have no excuse for being off of the beat. Len thought it was a great performance. Bruno told Marlee she had a great stage presence. Both Len and Bruno criticized Fabian for his choreography because it was more like a mambo than a quickstep. Carrie Ann thought Marlee had great musicality. Carrie Ann told Marlee that she needs to work on her hold. It was a little too informal for a ballroom dance.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 8
Len Goodman: 8
Bruno Tonioli: 8
Total: 24
Kristy Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas
Dance: Mambo
I didn’t think that Kristy and Mark would be able to match last week’s performance. They did it. That was an exciting, entertaining performance. Carrie Ann was shocked with the precision of Kristy’s dancing. Len said, “You’ve done it again.” Bruno thought it was incredible for the second round of competition.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
Len Goodman: 9
Bruno Tonioli: 9
Total: 27
Mario & Karina Smirnoff
Dance: Quickstep
That was another really good performance. Mario seems to have taken the judge’s recommendation last week and worked hard on his footwork because it looked great. Bruno was very excited as usual. Bruno said that he thought Mario could win this season. Len thought Mario’s footwork was pretty good but his hold was funny. Len told Mario to work on his finesse now. Carrie Ann thought Mario was ‘charming’ on the dance floor.
Carrie Ann Inaba: 9
Len Goodman: 8
Bruno Tonioli: 9

It’s a real word. From Wikipedia:
“Musicality refers to fitting a dance to the music being played, with the goal of relating the dance to the music’s rhythm, melody, and mood. Dancers usually step on the beats of the music, and may vary the size of their movements with the volume of the music. This is especially true in choreography, where dancers plan a routine of dance moves, sometimes with a specific song in mind.”

Thanks, now we need to check synchronicity and pitchy.
