American Idol Stage

Last week was rough week for on me on American Idol. First I didn’t get to watch the shows until Thursday and Friday (I was in England and they air the episodes two days after they do it in the US). I was really rooting for Amanda. She was kind of a one trick pony as Simon would say but I liked her sound. It was really different than any of the other contestants.

My thanks to Erin for covering AI for me last week. Nice job Erin! Tonight, we are down to the Top 10 finalists. Each of the remaining singers will perform a song from the year they were born. So, if I do my math correctly, we should mostly be hearing tunes from the late 70’s and early 80’s tonight. I like the idea of this theme. It’s a little more creative than the ones AI producers usually come up with. We’ll get to see how well it works out tonight.
