Dancing with the Stars

Tonight is Double Elimination night on Dancing With The Stars. Last night, all of the couples performed again. Based on their combined scores and votes from the past two weeks, two couples will be sent home tonight: the male and the female stars with the lowest combined numbers.

To be honest, I will be shocked if that isn’t Monica Seles and Adam Carrola. Neither of these two could dance to save their lives. Adam has a chance of survival but only because he’s funny and entertaining. Monica doesn’t even have that going for her. If Adam managed to survive it would probably be Penn & Kym going home which would suck. I like Penn. What I’m most upset about this season is that my favorite pros, Julianne Hough and Kym Johnson are paired with the worst stars so they probably won’t be around too long this season.

The couples to beat this season of DWTS have already been picked out. Its Kristy & Mark and Mario & Karina. There was concern last night that Kristy & Mark may have peaked too early. This is always a problem because it sets very high expectation early on and it is difficult to meet them and improve over the course of the season. Usually I’m one of the first ones to voice this concern. I said it last season about Sabrina & Mark but, I get the feeling that this won’t be a problem for Kristy. She is an athlete, a competitor, and a perfectionist. She is going to be damn hard to beat this season.
