Tonight on Big Brother 9 we pick up right after Chelsia leaves the house. Everyone strikes back at the things she said. Sheila doesn’t understand what “rode hard and put away wet” means. It was funny to listen to her on the live feeds afterwards. She talked about it for hours. She’s convinced it means something dirty and is sexual.
Regarding the HoH competition Natalie was thrilled that America thought she’d be more inspirational than Joshuah in a speech. Joshuah is his usual bitter self about it and lashes out at her. This is why we wouldn’t want to have to listen to him, though Nat might not be my top pick from this house.
James is worried about Nat winning. Joshuah feels dumb for getting beat by Natalie in a mental competition. Ryan and Adam are really excited for her to be the new HoH.
Sitting in the backroom w/ James Joshuah says, “one of those idiots is going to win a half million dollars.” I think he’s right. About who is going to win at least. Adam adds his own one-liner tonight with “Christ in the house.” Natalie’s side of the house feels they are starting a religious clan of sorts.
More numbers from Natalie as she can’t stop talking about the number seven. She finds seven in everything. This is just like last week’s eight infatuation. Natalie is the biggest Rainman I’ve ever seen on this show. Joshuah picks up on this too and notes that her theory changes every week along with the number. He has a funny exchange with James about how November 7th isn’t always election day like Natalie thinks it is.

It’s time for Natalie’s HoH room. She’s got lots of pictures, one of them makes her look like Axel Rose (nowadays, not back in his Illusion days) with her braids. She reads her letter from home out to the group. Her dad seems to work in the Navy and Walmart. Perhaps an offshore Walmart? Adam tears up. Sheila starts missing her family too.
Now for some recycled, very old clips. Natalie wanted to play hide & seek with the guys. She hides in the bathroom with her knee exposed and they find her. What they didn’t show was how long they left her sitting there. They play again and this time Natalie heads back to the bathroom, but gets under the sink. When Joshuah opens the door to it he squeals as it was pretty surprising. I don’t know how she managed to get in there!
Now for a little personal drama. Sheila asks Joshuah about how he told his parents. Joshuah told his mom over the phone. Eventually his dad found out. Sheila is happy that his parents were accepting about it his lifestyle. She says she’d love her 16 year old son “if he were born gay”. Oh great, now a poor 16 year old boy will have to spend Monday in high school explaining to his friends, “I’m not gay!”
James heads upstairs to talk with Natalie about forming an alliance. He’s working hard to save his butt. They make an agreement for Final 2. She doesn’t know if she should trust him as he’s hurt her in the past. I don’t think anyone should trust James! James heads back downstairs as he’s done all he can for the time. He feels pretty confident in his work. I don’t share his optimism.
Food Competition:
Ohhh, this one is good. Each HG (not including Natalie as HoH) picks whether they’ll have slop or food for the week. One by one the HGs will come out and pick whether they’ll have food or slop. If less than 3 pick the “slop” token the choices will be flipped (someone who picks food gets slop). If more than 3 pick slop then everyone gets what they picked. Um, confused? I’m not even sure I transcribed that right, but I hope so.
Sharon picks: slop
James picks: slop
Joshuah picks: slop
Ryan picks: slop
Sheila picks: slop
Adam picks: food
Only Adam and Natalie will be eating food. Everyone else gets slop. Silly houseguests.

Big Brother 10 reminder:
CBS wants to remind us that Big Brother 10 is coming up this summer. Head over to http://bigbrother10.net for your application and casting call locations.
A little personal drama tonight with James wandering the house at night alone. He’s “really bummed out” about Chelsia being evicted. He questions if he should have used the veto on her instead. Hmm, is this sincere or planned for Chelsia to see and still want to vote for him?
Ryan and Adam get going with a little fun in the pool together. What, CBS, no “Chlorine Buddies” graphic for us? These two guys start a whirlpool in the pool by running in circles. Poor rubber ducky caught in the middle!
Natalie is missing Matt as much as James is missing Chelsia. Apparently she has the habit of starring at Matt’s picture. She stands in front of the memory wall with a glass of wine and just hangs out there. Everyone laughs about this in the backyard. Sharon says she feels bad for Natalie and asks if anyone thinks he liked her. A resounding “NO!” echoes through the backyard. Hah, I guess it’s just Natalie that’s thinking Matt wanted any sort of relationship there.
Nominations:
Everyone is sweating the nomination ceremony. James thinks he might have gotten through to Natalie on his offer to align. Joshuah is more concerned and Sharon is convinced that one of their three will be going home this week.
All the HGs gather at the small table (I miss the bigger one with the lazy Susan in the middle). Natalie gives a very quiet and reserved speech. She reminds them that she has to do what’s best for her at this point.
1st key: Adam
2nd key: Sheila
3rd key: Ryan
4th key: Sharon
Natalie tells Joshuah and James that she thinks of both of them as threats. She points out this is the first time Joshuah has been nominated. He says this is the first time in fifty some days he’s felt threatened. James says he’ll be coming after Natalie if he survives this week’s eviction.
