“21″ just barely busted this weekend with the top earning spot at $23.7 million. Other new debut films “Superhero Movie” and “Stop Loss” limped in with neither breaking the $10M mark. Most surprising to me was “Run, Fat Boy, Run” which didn’t even earn a spot in the top ten this week. Instead, David Schwimmer (yes, Ross) as director and Michael Ian Black (MTV’s The State) as writer weren’t enough to peak anyone’s interest as it came in at #13. Family friendly “Horton” continue with strong earnings, breaking the $100 million this weekend, getting up to $117M. Not too shabby.
