Adam’s nominations are in on Big Brother 9 and Natalie might even be tempted to call them “D-U-M”. I heard about them days before from the spoilers, but it wasn’t until I got to hear Adam’s speech that I thought things sounded a little more reasonable. If James was nominated he’d get to play for the PoV and possibly save himself. There’s no difference here as the same thing will happen. If James wins the PoV on tonight’s episode then he’d be safe. If he loses then he’s done and evicted for the week. It really didn’t matter whether or not Adam nominated James.
So now that we have those basics put aside I’ll let you in on the fact that things didn’t work out as some of the show’s fans may have wanted. Stop right now if you want to avoid ruining the broadcast surprises, the rest of us will press on. So James didn’t win the PoV, Ryan did. It was a lot to ask of James to win it four weeks in a row, but truth be told, he’d have to win it another three weeks just to make it to the end.
James has been a huge target since early on the game and it was really just a matter of time. No one has stepped back and said, “people might hate him enough not to vote for him in the end.” Instead they’re afraid and ready to get rid of the danger. If I was in there position I’m not sure what I’d do. I’d probably just vote him out while I could and hope for the best.
A lot of fans have argued that James departure will kill the show’s excitement, but I don’t think that’s the case at all. Watching all of the “Team Christ” players have to turn on each other like wolves will be interesting and very entertaining. It’s like they haven’t even considered this as inevitable.
After this week, when James is gone, we may even finally see the sexes align, leaving Adam and Ryan out alone with only Ryan allowed to compete for HoH. That’s gonna make it tough. Maybe they’ll hang together long enough to get rid of the last loose end, Sharon.
