With only six idols remaining, I think I have a pretty good guess as to how the rest of the season is going to play out. Here are the remaining six in the order I think they are going to be sent home:
- Brooke White
- Syesha Mercado
- Carly Smithson
- Jason Castro
- David Archuleta
- David Cook
You might be able to switch Syesha and Brooke. Brooke has had some tough weeks and Syesha seems to be doing better which is why I put them in this order but, I really think these are the next two to be sent home. You might also switch up Carly and Jason. Carly has had more bottom three appearances than Jason which is why I think she will go home before him. While David Archuleta has a great voice and a huge following, David Cook is by far the better performer and more original artist. I really think he should be the won to take home the big prize.

I’m in agreement with your final six placement. Have we ever had a same-sex top three? I can totally see the three guys left, and I think Jason might even outlast David Archuleta. I would never think to buy a CD of his, but I can’t wait to get Jason’s!

Totally agree- David Cook is by far the best. I also think Jason could place higher than Archie if the tweens don’t just dominate the lines!

Ya know, our boy Jason is moving on up and could out last even DA who peaked too early, I think. Jason’s indie style, sex appeal, and amazing (if obscure) song selections have won lots of voters over from David A who’s a bit bland and boring in style and selection. Plus I don’t think DA is ready - he might ought to go back home, do his school work for a few more years, then come back and try again. Besides, I wanna see DA’s ID - can he really be 17? Looks and acts about 11.
