It seems to be official: Latina Magazine is confirming that Mariah Carey married Nick Cannon yesterday in a small ceremony on an island (TMZ is reporting Bahamas). The impulsive nuptials were attended by Da Brat, and a few others. The 38 year old Mariah, and 27 year old Nick were speculated to have been engaged!

As Tyler Durden points out, Cannon gave Mariah the same engagement ring he used in his previous engagement to Selita Eubanks. Classy!

Update: New York Post is confirming the marriage:

“They have been smitten with each other for days, weeks,” the friend said. “And she’s always had a crush on him.”

At first I was concerned that she had just been smitten “for days” but they quickly added “weeks” so that’s gotta be a sure thing and something to last a lifetime!
