The wait is over. Iron Man arrives in theaters today starting at 8pm showtimes (in most locations) and this looks like one you won’t want to miss. Reviews are coming in very positive for Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Tony Stark and Jon Favreau as the director.

FirstShowing.net: I haven’t walked out of a movie this satisfied in a very long time! Jon Favreau has brought Iron Man to the big screen in an absolutely perfect way. As Christopher Nolan is to the most recent Batman movies, Favreau is to Iron Man.

USA Today: As Stark soars around in his titanium alloy outfit, aiming fireballs with perfect precision, he is as potent a figure as Superman. He’s as rich as Bruce Wayne with an extra dollop of science-guy nerdiness, finished off with a heaping dose of snark. Iron Man’s biggest strength is that the fantastically armored suit doesn’t overpower the intriguingly flawed character encased within.
