Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Last night was not such a great night for a couple of our remaining American Idol 2008 finalists. Jason Castro had what could have been the worst night of the competition. Simon actually told Jason to pack his bags. The only thing that could possibly save Jason tonight is Simon’s comment. When Simon makes a comment like that it has a tendency to motivate the fans of the endangered performer to vote like they have never voted before.
After last night, Jason deserves to go home. His performances were downright awful. He is my prediction to go home but, there is a little part of me that is afraid he won’t.
David Cook didn’t have a great night yesterday either. Even though he is my favorite idol this season, I thought his performances last night while good were not some of his best (I am going to download Hungry Like the Wolf though). My big fear is that the fans of David Cook were not as motivated as the fans of Jason Castro. All it takes is to slip on the voting just one week and we could see David Cook going home. Its happened before on Idol.
Syesha had what was probably her best night of the season. I would be really bitter if she went home tonight. I have been pretty hard on her this season but she is coming on strong at the end. As I have said time and again, David Archuleta does absolutely nothing for me. He has a great voice but beyond that I can’t see me ever going to a concert of his or downloading his music. The judges loved him last not and he has a cult-like following among the fans so there is no chance of him going home tonight.
Jason deserves to go. On the off chance that his fans save him (God forbid) it will be either Cook or Syesha who we will bid farwell to tonight.

My thoughts exactly — Cook was off his game, Jason doesn’t care any more and it shows. David A. was technically the best, but he’s not my taste at all. Voted only for Syesha — have been enjoying her the most lately.

Jason really needs to go home, he hasn’t sung strong since he’s been on the show. It’s always a mellow song and nothing to remember. David A. is ok but not great. In my opinion he should be voted off. My vote is for only Syesha. She is really singing strong the last couple of weeks. She has really blossomed. At this stage you would think the remainding ones should blossom and get better each week, but the only one I see doing that is Syesha. The best has already been voted off and that was Carly.
