Dancing with the Stars

Tonight is Dancing With The Stars 101st episode! I’m happy to report the producers have absolutely nothing special planned to commemorate the 101st episode. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow night for the 102nd. Tonight, the four remaining couples will dance for their DWTS lives.

Kristi & Mark are still the odds on favorite. Jason & Edyta need to have a good week. If they want to win they can’t keep having these ups and downs every week. I can only believe that Marissa & Tony are being kept alive by the fan votes. If I had to pick a couple to go home this week before seeing the performances they would be it. Cristian & Cheryl are the dark horse couple. Despite Cristian’s injury and some early season visits to the bottom two, they have been coming on strong. The problem that Kristi & Mark face is that the expectations are now so high for them that they are having trouble living up to them. Not to mention the fact that American’s love an underdog. Because of their slow start this season and Cristian’s injury, the expectations for he and Cheryl have been pretty low. If they can put on a brilliant performance again tonight, they could be in a great position to win the whole thing. I know that I’m going to be rooting for them tonight. Tune in tonight to find out how they did.

Cristian is a fraud! Check out the night he supposedly “severly” damaged his arm that needs “surgery”. He first shows that he hurt his right arm, then swithces to his left. He can’t make up his mind. Pays the docs off and suddenly he requires surgery but it can… “wait”. His arm looks fine now.
What a wuss and fraudster. I guess no one has anything to worry about that Chilean airforce coming at you…

Why don’t you guys lay off of Cristian? What has the guy done to you? How do you know it doesn’t hurt him to move his left arm? Maybe he just has a high tolerance for pain. Maybe he doesn’t care if it hurts because he knows that DWTS has helped a lot of other has-beens [Mario Lopez] or unknowns [Sabrina Bryan] get their careers back on track? Can you blame the guy for wanting a little more time in the spotlight?

If anything, I think Cristian has mellowed out over the weeks. Sure, he started off as cocky and arrogant but not once has he ever talked back to the judges even when they were ripping him a new one EVERY WEEK. None of his confessionals have ever been whiny or disrespectful to anybody. And when he said Helio was his inspiration last week, he was the first to admit last night that he still has a long way to go before proving himself worthy of the trophy.

Y’all act like he’s committing some kind of capital crime by trying to win the competition. It’s called survival of the fittest. If Marissa can sway votes with her bubbly but annoying personality, who’s to say she doesn’t deserve it, either? A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do. If he’s faking the injury, that’s between him and his own conscience. Bottom line is he’s not voting for himself, his fans are, and if his fans are succeeding in keeping him in the competition then you non-Cristian fans have no one to blame but yourselves if your favorite dancer ends up going home.
