American Idol Stage

Tonight on American Idol 2008 the final three contestants will perform again. This time we will get to see them sing for their hometown audiences. David Archuleta is honored at a celebration held at his high school in Murray, UT during which Utah Governor Jon Huntsman declared it “David Archuleta Day.” David Cook, from Blue Springs, Missouri had his hometown celebration on Friday in Kansas City. While Syesha Mercado returned to her hometown of Bradenton Florida.

The thing I will be most interested to see tonight is how well David Archuleta does without the guiding hand of his father at rehearsals. David’s father was banned the other day by American Idol producers. Many people have always suspected David’s parents of being the proverbial Stage Mom (or dad in this case). Without his Dad’s help is he going to be able to put on as good a performance? Will he be able to come up with an arrangement on his own? Will just the fact that his Dad isn’t there be enough to mentally throw him off his game? I can’t wait to see his performance tonight.
